Stingray has spent over ten years building a laser against sea lice. Nevertheless, John Arne Breivik believes that competing companies are not the biggest barrier to scaling technology in aquaculture. On the other hand, banks, capital and government regulations that define risk and incentives. Innovation is encouraged in words, but is often slowed down in practice. Ten years from now, Breivik believes a turning point will come. Not because more AI agents and algorithms are set up, but because precision and quality still depend on how people and technology actually work together.
