Brit Tørud
Brit is a veterinarian who was drawn into the farming industry at a time when farmers were supposed to be farming fish. Since then, it has become a master's degree in aquatic medicine. In recent years, she has worked as fish health specialist at the Veterinary Institute. That job involves research activities, administrative support and advice to industry. A few years as a senior adviser in the Ministry of Trade and Fisheries has given her a useful insight into regulations and administration. Brit has also been general manager of facilities with roe and smolt production, but most of her professional career she has worked in fish health services.
