Jacob Palmer Meland, family man, 38 years old, from Lovund in Helgeland. Second-generation breeder, and now general manager of Lovundlaks. The company has tripled production over the past few years, in contrast to an industry that has otherwise experienced marginal volume growth. As the majority owner of Utror AS, Lovundlaks is now exploring the possibilities for Havbruk til Havs. Meland has a fundamental belief that fish should be produced where there is plenty of fresh water.
