Magne Aldrin
Magne Aldrin is a chief scientist and statistician at the Norwegian Computing Centre, where he has worked for 40 years. He holds a Dr.scient. (Ph.D. equivalent) in statistics and regression analysis from the University of Oslo (1996), and a M.Sc. equivalent in operations analysis and statistics from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim (1984). He works with statistical modeling, data analysis, machine learning and artificial intelligence, with particular emphasis on applied statistical research. Aldrin's project group at the Norwegian Computing Centre has worked with infection modeling in aquaculture for many years and developed two infection models for sea lice in collaboration with the Norwegian Veterinary Institute. Aldrin has extensive experience with prediction models for, among other things, energy, environment, health and transport.
