Øystein Skagseth from the Institute of Marine Research presents results from the measurement program in the Norwegian Trough, where current, temperature, salinity and oxygen have been recorded for a whole year. He shows how the data provides new knowledge about variations in environmental conditions and what framework conditions they can create for offshore aquaculture, with an emphasis on oxygen levels and current conditions as critical factors for fish welfare and production.
