Sigrid Bratlie
Sigrid Bratlie is a molecular biologist and one of Norway's most high-profile communicators of biotechnology. She is a senior advisor at Langsikt with a focus on synthetic biology and biosafety, as well as a special advisor at the Norwegian Cancer Society. She has previously been a project manager for genetic engineering at NCE Heidner Biocluster, a subject manager at the Norwegian Agricultural Cooperative and a senior advisor at the Biotechnology Council. Bratlie is educated at the University of Glasgow, Imperial College London and the Institute of Cancer Research, and received HM the King's Gold Medal for her doctorate in 2015. She is passionate about making advanced research accessible and about showing how biotechnology can contribute to sustainability, health and future food production.
