Sonal Patel
Sonal Patel is a senior researcher at the Norwegian Veterinary Institute, specializing in viruses, biosecurity and immune response in farmed fish. She has extensive experience with infection surveillance and vaccinology in species such as salmon, halibut and cod. Patel has led and participated in a number of national and international research projects on, among other things, virus transmission, water hygiene in RAS facilities and vaccine development. She previously worked for over 17 years at the Institute of Marine Research and has a strong research profile related to disease prevention and the development of infection barriers in fish farming.
