Sonal Patel from the Norwegian Veterinary Institute talks about the work of testing how biosecurity measures affect the survival of pathogens, both in laboratory experiments and in commercial RAS facilities. The Biosecurity in RAS project assesses the effect of measures such as fallowing, water exchange and ozonation, with the aim of developing knowledge-based recommendations for better infection prevention in land-based aquaculture.
