Torstein Kristensen, Head of Biology at the technology company ScaleAQ, shares his thoughts on the new aquaculture report from a technology supplier perspective. He praises the report for being technology neutral and believes this will contribute to increased demand for new solutions in the industry. At the same time, Kristensen believes that the report is too narrow in some areas, and hopes that more details will be provided over time. He also expresses concern that a new system of lice quotas could become as complex as the current regime. Finally, he emphasizes that even if the intention of the aquaculture report is good, the time horizon for change will be long from a technology supplier's perspective.
