Ottavia Benedicenti from the Norwegian Veterinary Institute presents water-based methods for pathogen detection in aquaculture. Using eDNA/eRNA, this non-lethal approach links water samples to fish health, enabling early disease prevention and continuous population monitoring. It also offers new genomic tools to track fish welfare and biosecurity.
